Walnut Street Skyscraper

The entry to the skyscraper is elevated to connect. to the Walnut Street bridge. A garage plinth below provides parking for the Penn Athletic fields.

The tower is designed with four different elevator cores that access the different sectional zones of the skyscraper.

The structural concept is to use the four heavy elevator cores of the building and two stair towers to provide a tripod of lateral support for the building.

To break up such a large building, three larger "garden" or public spaces transverse whole floors of the tower. These include and office recreational space, a two story mid tower retail zone, and the hotel lobby. These whole floor gardens are connected with public vertical circulation which also incorporate green elements.

The office lobby is accessed directly from the Walnut Street bridge at 31st Street.

Higher in the tower is the public level of the hotel lobby.
